For all your working women out there, or mom’s running all around town with their kids, I want you to start carving some time out of your daily schedule for YOU. It is time you take charge of your own schedule and make time where you turn off your brain and let all your thoughts digest. Pleas stop telling yourself that you don’t have time for this because you will have time if you make time.
I am sure there are some of you that roll your eyes when you hear of other women that take time to meditate in the morning or late at night. The truth of the matter is that they have the right idea. They are the women that are able to sleep better at night and recharge their bodies and minds for a better day. I am telling you to be selfish and put your family, husband or boyfriend on the back burner for one hour every day so that you can take time to work on being a better YOU.
The best place for YOU TIME can be done doing the following;
1.) Take A Bath
When you are at the grocery store or mall, choose a bubble bath with a beautiful aroma. Pick a smell you absolutely love and that will kick your mind into relaxation mode. That one hour in the bathtub will do wonders for you. You can read a good book or put on some zen music that will take you to another world and back. Your goal is to ZEN OUT!
2.) Sit Outside

There is something to be said about being around nature that does something amazing to the mind. I am sure all your mom’s out there drive by parks but have never sat on a bench and taken in the beauty of nature. A simple sunset or feeling the grass between your feet are just a few of the small things from nature that could really bring a bit of calmness to your busy day. Even watering your pants in your backyard could be considered a good moment of time out for you.
3.) Go For A Walk

After a crazy day at work, I am sure you are probably thinking that the last thing you want to do is go for a walk around your neighborhood but I dare you to do it for two weeks straight. You will not only get a little exercise in but will start to notice things around your hood that you never seen before. Having a quiet stroll by yourself will allow you to reflect on your day and bring a sense of calmness to your week.
If you are reading this and keep making excuses of how these simple three things are just not possible for you, than you are not thinking with an open mind. Put your life on hold for just an hour, that is all I am asking.
The people in your life will understand and if they don’t, than who cares because remember it is all about YOU.
Last but not least, make sure you shut your phone off.
