After a shooting a quick scene this afternoon for the new show I am starring in called, “The Drama Queen” which airs November 10th at 10pm following “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” on E! (yes, that is a shameless plug!), my boyfriend and I decided to head to Venice Beach for an impromptu date night.
Let’s face it, after being together for over six years our favorite place to eat dinner is at home. We love our alone time, ALOT but tonight was a different story and I was eager to check out all the unique shops along Abbot Kinney Blvd. It is one of my most favorite streets in all of the LA area. I totally love that uber chill, beach vibe, relaxed, eclectic feel that comes so naturally when you are down there. The tiny boutiques, restaurants and pub choices along the street all have their own individual flare. From high end clothing shops, pot pharmacies, jewelry stands, juicers, antique stores, ice cream shops to even a gay bar called Roosterfish, there is something for everyone!
We stopped to grab a bite at a place called, 3 Square Cafe that caught our eye from across the way. Their contemporary neighborhood atmosphere features a number of fresh-baked breads, artisan sandwiches, salads and comfort food with a twist! Yep, I ordered their Pretzel Burger and Avocado Fries and I have to tell ya, I enjoyed every moment. Take a look at this burger, holy cow!!
My boyfriend and I decided to end the night by walking off our meal by popping into a few shops such as Urbanic Paper Boutique (obsessed!), Mystic Journey Bookstore (had to get our “spiritual” on), and Aviator Nation (most comfy sweats known to man) just to name a few!
If you are ever in the LA area, get your surfer buns to Venice Beach and take a stroll down Abbot Kinney Blvd, it is one of my most favorite places to go on a nice relaxing day.
Hope you all are having a GREAT weekend!
